She is a regular contributor to Early Years Activity Bank. Irene Yates was a primary school teacher and is now an educational consultant and writer, and Writer-in-Schools. She has written for Scholastic for many years. She is the author of over 120 books for other publishers as well as radio programmes for BBC Radio Education department.
