It is a frosty, autumn morning when Anna disappears. The villagers search for days, but Anna is nowhere to be found. Far away over the mountains lives Meg, alone - longing for the return of her sea-faring son, Jack. Then, one October moon, as the wild geese herald the onset of harsh weather, a mysterious girl comes knocking at Meg's door...
