One day Caitlin finds a baby bird sitting in a broken eggshell. She takes the bird home to the lighthouse and decides to call him Muffin. Muffin is very happy being fed tasty slivers of fish and sleeping in a cosy sock, but the time comes when every baby bird must learn to look after itself and Caitlin has to set Muffin free.
