The activities and resources in this pack are designed to help children gain a sense of themselves and those around them. From the clothes they wear and the food they eat to the things they see, hear and do every day, the activities are geared to stimulate an interest in the children's environment and daily routine. There are activities related to home, school and leisure time, each of which should help to develop understanding of the world around them, which is a core early years skill. The pack should be useful to both specialist and non-specialist practitioners working with children aged three- to five-years-of-age. It contains over 50 activities, and there is a CD of poems, songs and stories, along with a giant themed display poster, 8 colour photocards and 14 photocopiable activity sheets."
