King Glut loved eggs. He had tasted every egg imaginable: scrambled, boiled, poached, fried and curried. One day he read that the rare dodo bird had been spotted, so he set sail to go and find one of its eggs. At the same time another ship set sail in search of the dodo, but for a different reason. Reg Cartwright won the Mother Goose Award for his first picture book, "Mrs Potter's Pidgeon".
