The heroine of this story is a little mouse, Daisy. Intrepid Daisy does things that all her friends are scared to do - she even eats a worm for a dare. But when she's dared to take the bell off a sleeping cat's collar she very nearly comes unstuck! Anita Jeram is the illustrator of "All Pigs are Beautiful", "My Hen is Dancing","I Love Guinea-Pigs", "Guess How Much I Love You" (shortlisted for the 1994 Kurt Maschler Award) and her own stories "It Was Jake!", included on the National Curriculum SATs reading list, "Bill's Belly Button" and "The Most Obedient Dog in the World".
