"Homework" by Anika Fajardo follows the journey of a young girl named Aida, who is navigating the complexities of growing up while grappling with her Colombian heritage. When her mother brings home an unexpected visitor—a family member Aida hasn’t met before—she is thrust into a world of cultural reconnection and self-discovery. Aida must navigate her feelings of confusion, loss, and identity as she learns more about her family’s past and what it means to belong. With humor and poignancy, the story explores themes of family, heritage, and the importance of understanding one’s roots. [Generated by language model - please report any problems].
