Maris Wicks lives in Somerville, Massachusetts. She has harnessed the power of her various biological systems to draw comics for Adhouse Books, Tugboat Press, and Spongebob Comics, and has written stories for Image and DC Comics. Wicks is the author of Human Body Theater and the illustrator of New York Times bestselling Primates , with Jim Ottaviani. When Maris is not drawing comics, she can be found prepping slides for her collection of vintage microscopes. She's especially proud of her pulmonary system. Jim Davis is an American cartoonist, best known as the creator of the comic strips Garfield and U. S. Acres (a. k. a. Orson's Farm). Published since 1978, Garfield is one of the world's most widely syndicated comic strips. Davis' other comics work includes Tumbleweeds, Gnorm Gnat and Mr. Potato Head. Born in 1962 in Denver, Colorado, Scott Nickel works by day at Paws, inc. , Jim Davis's famous Garfield studio, and he freelances by night. Burning the midnight oil, Scott has created hundreds of humorous greeting cards and written several children's books, short fiction for "Boys' Life" magazine, comic strips, and lots of really funny knock-knock jokes. He was raised in southern California, but in 1995 Scott moved to Indiana, where he currently lives with his wife, two sons, six cats, and several sea monkeys. Andy Hirsch is a cartoonist and illustrator living in Dallas, Texas. He has contributed to the Garfield, Regular Show, Adventure Time, and Peanuts comic book series. He has published Varmints and Science Comics: Dogs with First Second. Mark Evanier is an Eisner-award winning comic book and television writer primarily known for his humor work.
