Fiona Veitch Smith is the author of the Young David series (SPCK, 2015) and has also published detective fiction with Lion Hudson. She lives in Newcastle-upon-Tyne with her husband, daughter and dog and also lectures in creative writing and journalism. Andy Catling (illustrator) lives in Hampshire with his two children who love to sneak into their dad's room and draw all over his clothes! He studied at Norwich School of Art where he acquired the skills to animate and digitally render his work. When Andy is not working he enjoys reading historical novels and soaking up stories and ideas. Karen Wallace is the author of more than 90 books for children.

Reading Corner Phonics
Reading Corner Phonics offers a range of fun phonics books for children. The carefully controlled vocabulary supports the teaching of synthetic phonics, allowing children to read words in context. Level 1: Stories of no more than 50 words, focusing on CVC words with short vowel sounds. Level 2: Stories of no more than 70 words, focusing on CVC words with short vowel sounds plus phonemes of more than one letter. Level 3: Stories of no more than 100 words, focusing on phonemes of more than one letter plus simple polysyllabic words.
