Leda Schubert teaches at Vermont College of Fine Arts in the Writing for Children and Young Adults MFA program. She is the author of the Roaring Brook Press titles The Princess of Borscht , Ballet of the Elephants , and Monsieur Marceau. Leda lives in Plainfield, Vermont, with her husband and two dogs. Jan Greenberg has taught creative writing and art appreciation classes at schools and colleges in America. She lives in St Louis, Missouri. With Sandra Jordan she is the author of several distinctive books about art, including, Vincent van Gogh: Portrait of an Artist , which was named a Sibert Award Honor Book in 2001. He has illustrated more than 70 books for children. His Pop Corn and Ma Goodness was a Caldecott Honor Book and in 2002 he won the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award for his picture book, Cold . Mr. Parker lives in West Cornwall, Connecticut.
