The roars of the hungry Minotaur came nearer and nearer - his feet could be heard thundering along the echoing floor of the labyrinth . . . Meet the original heroes of Greece as they battle the mythical creatures that have inspired imaginations for thousands of years, from the Minotaur to Cyclops. Written by a Homeric expert, this condensed retelling of the Greek legends brings these ancient bestsellers to a new generation of fans. This edition is perfect for younger readers who want stories that are easy to read, without losing any of the thrilling detail, and includes classic Greek stories, from Perseus and Medusa to Theseus and the Minotaur, as well as more unusual ones, such as Ulysses and Calypso.
