This full-colour textbook is the only publication specifically for units 5 and 6 of the new Edexcel GCSE in Business. It focuses on the skills needed by those in business in order to succeed, explains the role of the employee in the workplace and explains the dynamic nature of business and the factors that cause change. Andrew Hammond is Head of Business Studies at Darrick Wood School, Orpington, and a Senior Examiner and GCSE scrutineer for a major awarding body. He is a co-author of textbooks including Business Studies (Hodder Arnold). Thomas Ramsbottom worked for a multinational before becoming a teacher. He is an examiner for a major awarding body and a frequent contributor to Business Active. Lynne Williams is an author, trainer and Senior Examiner for a major awarding body, and Head of Business Faculty at Tredegar Comprehensive School. After some years in the legal profession, Andrew Hammond retrained as a teacher and has taught English for ten years in schools across the south east of England. He has prepared boys and girls for the 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance and Scholarship exams as well as working as a Year 5 class teacher, Year 6 Coordinator, KS3 Coordinator and Head of English and Drama. Andrew is the Head of English and Drama at Copthorne Preparatory School and lives in Surrey with his wife and three young rascals.
