The Oxford First Thesaurus contains over 100 words in alphabetical order, 1000 synonyms, opposites, and word families - ideal for children as they begin to write independently at school and at home and are looking for vocabulary support. Each page contains a carefully levelled headword along with a broad range of synonyms, and stimulating picture book illustrations. Incredibly easy to access, the words are in alphabetical order and the alphabet is on every page. A fresh clear design means it is easy to make a choice from the imaginative and adventurous synonyms. Each synonym is given in blue to highlight it, plus it is repeated in a sentence to demonstrate to children how they might use it effectively.
