Andrew Matthews is a celebrated children's author, who has written over fifty books and has twice been nominated for the Smarties prize. Jacqueline Wilson grew up and still lives in Kingston-on-Thames. She always wanted to be a writer and wrote her first 'novel' when she was nine.
