Andrea Curtis's critically acclaimed Into the Blue: Family Secrets and The Search for a Great Lakes Shipwreck (Random House) won the Edna Staebler Award for Creative Non-Fiction. Her writing has also appeared in Toronto Life , Chatelaine , Canadian Geographic , Explore , Utne Reader , The Globe and Mail , Today's Parent , cbc. ca/arts and others. This is her first work for a younger audience. Peggy Collins is a veteran illustrator of over a dozen picture books, both fiction and non-fiction including In the Garden and In the Snow , both of which were included in the CCBC's list of Best Books for 2010. Though she has dabbled in all sorts of media, she now works primarily in gouache, pencil crayon, and ink.
