'Happy Feet: The Essential Guide' is a non-fiction book based on the movie 'Happy Feet'. The story begins when a baby Emperor Penguin called Mumble is born. All the Emperor Penguins are taught to find their life-mate through their heartsong. The only problem is that Mumble can't carry a note. He comes out of the egg a born dancer, but the other penguins urge him to stop 'the freaky thing with the feet'. When the penguins suffer a food famine, Mumble is blamed with his non-penguin ways. He sets out to find the cause of the food shortage, and embarks on a wild adventure. He meets all sorts of animals along the way, including the Adelie Penguins, leopard seals and whales until he discovers the source of the famine. This essential guide is packed with full-colour images from this delightful movie as well as fascinating facts about all the wonderful characters such as the Emperor Penguins Mumble, Gloria, Elvis, Norma Jean and Noah, and the Adelie Penguins, the Skua birds, whales and leopard seals. The essential guide also includes specially commissioned artworks and maps of Antarctica and Mumble's journey.
