A gripping adventure story set in the Australian bush, full of vivid characters, atmosphere and suspense. A young girl's first chance to go mustering with her parents ends in disaster when her pony is trapped at night-fall by the incoming tide, and they are forced to leave it behind. The next day, they find only tracks in the sand: hoofprints, with the footprints of a small child alongside. How could a child be living alone in this remote place? Her search for her pony leads Biddy to the biggest adventure of her life, and solves a local mystery. After six reprints in quick succession, The Quicksand Pony has now been published in this popular new format edition.
