Maggie Barfield is a theologian and freelance writer. She worked at Scripture Union for over 30 years, where she was responsible for their children's publishing and the development of their products. A special needs teacher by training and profession, Liz Dorton runs her own puppet theatre company within Health, Education and Community organizations in her home town of Hull. A trained nursery teacher, Christine Wright enjoys finding creative ways to help children grow in faith. She created and edited under-fives material for Scripture Union for twelve years, but has worked with children of all ages in her local church (and elsewhere). Both authors write resource material for Children in Urban Situations (CURBS). Mark and Anna Carpenter are the creators of the Bible Friends characters, which feature throughout the book. They have worked alongside Scripture Union for many years, illustrating the Bible Friends series of Board books.
