The Exodus
The Exodus tells of Moses and his journey to the promised land. God appeared to Moses as a burning bush on Mount Horeb and sent him back to Egypt to demand the release of the Israelites from slavery. The Pharoah refused so God sent the ten plagues, whereupon the Israelites were allowed to leave. Moses led them in the Exodus out of Egypt and across the red sea to Mount Sinai. Here Moses received the Ten Commandments. From Sinai, Moses led the Israelites to the Desert of Paran on the border of Canaan. Twelve spies were sent to investigate and on return told Moses the land did not flow with milk and honey and was not conquerable. God was cross and struck down the spies and forced the Israelites to wander in the desert for 40 years before they were allowed to enter Canaan.
