Ngareta Gabel (Te Paatu and Ngati Kahu) was raised in Kawakawa, Northland, and now lives in Kaikohe with her partner Charles Rolleston and their daughter Tekiteora. As an editor for Huia Publishers, Hannah Rainforth produced many children's books in both English and Maori including translating and adapting the award-winning Oh Hogwash Sweet Pea!. She is a collector of children's books who learned the art of story-telling by entertaining her brothers. Ali Teo is a freelance illustrator who works across a wide range of mediums. She has a passion for children's illustration and her work has appeared in many educational publications and children's books including Oh Hogwash Sweet Pea!
