For Nixie the naughty fairy this is the perfect opportunity to come up with some of her ingenious inventions to make the fairies' swimming party really go with a splash . . . and a BANG! Oops! Her wonky wand is up to its usual tricks and soon the peaceful pond becomes a froggy fiasco! Bumblebees' bottoms - Nixie's in trouble . . . again! Perfect for readers who like their fairies with a bit of mischief!

Ali Pye graduated from Kingston University with an MA in illustration in 2010. Her work combines digital and hand-drawn elements. She was highly commended (Most Promising New Talent) in the 2012 Junior Design Awards. Cas spent many years having a fabulous time, and a great deal of fun, working in children's television drama with CBBC. She developed and executive produced lots of programmes including JACKANORY, MUDDLE EARTH, THE MAGICIAN OF SAMARKAND, BIG KIDS and THE STORY OF TRACY BEAKER. Now Cas writes books for children, helps out in a primary school library (where she is Patron of Reading) and looks after her family full-time. She has four children, a daft dog called Bramble and she lives in Oxfordshire. She would absolutely love to go into space. But not on the Toxic Spew. Follow Cas on Twitter: @Cas_Lester
