Whizzing dodgems, spinning teacups, and fizzing fireworks. WHOOPEE! It's the night of the Fairyland Funfair and Nixie the Bad, Bad Fairy can't wait to go on all of her favourite rides! To top it all off there will be a HUGE fizzy firework display to close the fair. Buzzing with excitement, thrill-seeker Nixie rushes from one ride to the next, but Nixie's impatient nature soon gets her into trouble, and it's not long before her wonky wand is causing chaos. Bumblebees' bottoms! Nixie's in trouble . . . again! Perfect for readers who like their fairies with a bit of mischief, and for fans of the Rainbow Magic series.

Ali Pye graduated from Kingston University with an MA in illustration in 2010. Her work combines digital and hand-drawn elements. She was highly commended (Most Promising New Talent) in the 2012 Junior Design Awards. Cas spent many years having a fabulous time, and a great deal of fun, working in children's television drama with CBBC. She developed and executive produced lots of programmes including JACKANORY, MUDDLE EARTH, THE MAGICIAN OF SAMARKAND, BIG KIDS and THE STORY OF TRACY BEAKER. Now Cas writes books for children, helps out in a primary school library (where she is Patron of Reading) and looks after her family full-time. She has four children, a daft dog called Bramble and she lives in Oxfordshire. She would absolutely love to go into space. But not on the Toxic Spew. Follow Cas on Twitter: @Cas_Lester
