In "Carl and the Puppies" by Alexandra Day, the beloved dog Carl embarks on a delightful adventure with a lively litter of puppies. When Carl’s human leaves him in charge, the curious pups quickly turn the house into their playground. As they frolic and explore, Carl watches over them, ensuring they remain safe while indulging in their playful antics. With heartwarming illustrations and a whimsical story, this charming tale captures the joy and mischief of puppies under the watchful eye of their loving canine caregiver. It celebrates friendship, responsibility, and the fun of puppyhood. [Generated by language model - please report any problems].

Alexandra Day is the author and illustrator of Good Dog, Carl and the rest of the beloved Carl books, including Carl Goes Shopping , Carl's Christmas , Carl's Birthday and Carl's Snowy Afternoon . The Darlings' own dog, a Rottweiler named Toby, was the original model for the main character of Good Dog, Carl . Since then, two other Darling Rottweilers have posed as Carl in the sequels: the late Arambarri, who was named for one of the Darlings' favorite jai alai players; and Zabala, who currently moonlights as an Our Best Friend therapy dog, visiting hospitals to cheer patients.
