Continuing the "Crazy Stories" series, "Mrs O'Brady Never Gives Up" retells the parable of the widow and the unjust judge ("Luke 18:1-8") in rhyme, with Alexander Brown's fun, crazy illustrations. Mrs O'Brady has had her wok and chickens stolen, so she visits Judge Orson Cart to try and get justice. He turns her down, so she returns in disguise. After turning Mrs O'Brady away many times, the judge gives in and gives her justice. As in the other "Crazy Stories", "Mrs O'Brady Never Gives Up" lets children explore the biblical truth of a story of Jesus through a new tale, told in rhyme. At the back of the book, the appropriate Bible text appears, along with some activities that parents and carers can do with their children, to explore the theme further.
