It is suitable for primary school children who are developing independent writing skills and it is also intended for extended group project work. Children who are familiar with "The Oxford Junior Thesaurus" can now progress to "The Oxford Primary School Thesaurus" and at secondary level continue with "The Oxford School Thesaurus". Key features include A to Z arrangement to help children find the word they need quickly, over 50,000 synonyms, special word lists in boxes covering subjects such as animals, food, and games, opposites, for further word and vocabulary building, and example phrases and sentences to show how a word is used in its correct context.
