Ned sits in his tree house and surveys the world around him spotting all sorts of different local animals - from an agouti, a butterfly, a crocodile, to a zandoli. The rhyming text is full of fun and there's a little mouse in the tree building a little house of his own that small readers will delight in spotting. Author Dawne Allette, a native of Grenada, West Indies, has written a number of children's picture books that are noted for their inspiration, lyricism and humour. She has lived in Britain and Iran and now resides in Baltimore, USA. She teaches creative writing and is a literacy programme facilitator for Baltimore Public Schools. She is also a journalist for the Baltimore Times newspaper.
