The authors: Aiden Glendinning is a writer and teacher living in Lao PDR, at the heart of South-east Asia. Jim Holmes photographs and writes children's educational books. Living in Lao PDR he has a specific interest in offering an insight into the real lives of people in the developed and developing countries of South and South-east Asia. The consultant, Ian Elgie, is a geographer with wide experience of teaching at universities and colleges in South-east Asia. Currently he is Head of Geography and World Development Studies at Park College, Eastbourne.
