Abraham (Bram) Stoker was an Irish writer, best known for his Gothic classic Dracula , which continues to influence horror writers and fans more than 100 years after it was first published. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin, in science, mathematics, oratory, history, and composition, Stoker's writing was greatly influenced by his father's interest in theatre and his mother's gruesome stories about her childhood during the cholera epidemic in 1832. His works include the novels Dracula , The Lady of the Shroud , and The Lair of the White Worm , and his work as part of the literary staff of The London Daily Telegraph . Stoker died in 1912, leaving behind one of the most memorable horror characters ever created. Ben Templesmith is a New York Times best selling artist and writer most widely known for his work in the comic book industry where he has received multiple nominations for the International Horror Guild Awards as well as the industry's top prize, the Eisner Award. He also won a Spike TV Scream Award. As a creator, his most notable works have been 30 Days of Night (which spawned a major motion picture) and Fell . His other projects include the critically acclaimed serial Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse , as well as Welcome to Hoxford , and Singularity 7 , all of which he also wrote. John Jackson Miller is a relative newcomer to comics, but has written for The Simpsons and Crimson Dynamo previously. Andrea Mutti illustrated the superheroes comic 'DNAction' for Xenia Edizioni, horror comics for Fenix, did Lazarus Ledd and episodes of Hammer for Star Comics. Marc Andreyko is comic book and screenplay writer, known for writing the 2000s ongoing series Manhunter for DC Comics]. He co-created (with artist Jesus Saiz) Kate Spencer, the title character of the series, the first female character to carry the long-running legacy. Andreyko co-wrote the graphic novel Torso with Brian Michael Bendis, for which he was nominated for the Angouleme International Comics Festival Prize Awarded by the Audience and the Prize for Scenario (script) He co-created with P. Craig Russell, an Eisner- and Harvey-winning one-shot for Marvel Comics featuring Dr. Strange entitled What Is It That Disturbs You, Stephen? He has written comics for other publishers, including Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing, and Todd McFarlane Productions/Image Comics. Larry Hama is a writer/cartoonist/illustrator/actor/musician who has worked in comics, tv and film. In comics, he has written, edited or drawn for Avengers , Blaze , Nth Man , The Nam , Conan , Batman , Wonder Woman , Bizarre Adventures , X-Men , Spider-Man , Daredevil , and dozens more. He is best known as the writer of Marvel's G. I. JOE comics in the 80s and as the writer of Marvel's Wolverine in the 90s. Recent script credits include Batman: Shadow of the Bat , and Wonder Woman for DC Convergence, G. I. JOE: Origins and G. I. JOE: A Real American Hero for IDW, and Call of Duty: Black Ops for Dark Horse. Recent art credits include breakdowns for DC Comics' Deathstroke . His illustrations and cartoons have appeared in National Lampoon , Esquire , New York , and Rolling Stone . He has appeared on Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures and on TV in M*A*S*H , SNL , and Another World . He lives in New York City.
