John Agard is a prolific playwright, poet and author for children. In 2012 he was awarded the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry and has won a raft of other awards. Jenny Bent's family live in Jamaica, but she has her home near London. Jenny began working as an illustrator after graduating from Harrow Art College. She has written and illustrated several books. She lectures in art and design and in 1992, she travelled to Nigeria on British Council bursary to hold children's book illustration workshops.
