Susan Lacy taught for many years in innercity, multicultural, primary schools before starting to write for children in 1986. Her first book, Mussarat's Monster, was published in 1989 and led to her subsequent work as a writer, performer and storyteller. She currently works in libraries and schools throughout the North of England, running writing workshops for children, giving readings from her own books and talking about the process of writing and publication. Susan is a member of the National Association of Writers in Education. This is her first book for BRF.
