Jane Medina is a teacher and poet. She lives with her husband Pablo and their children, Annie and Joey, in Orange, California. Rebecca Kai Dotlich is the author of "Lemonade Sun, And Other Summer Poems. "She lives in Carmel, Indiana. ALMA FLOR ADA is retired Professor of Education at the University of San Francisco. She is a well-known author of children's and professional books for teachers and with Isabel Campoy is the co-owner of Del Sol Books, a publishing company that specializes in Spanish language translations and materials for children. Lee Bennett Hopkins' name is synonymous with poetry. He has published nearly 100 books of poetry and edited countless celebrated poetry collections. JOSEPH BRUCHAC is a poet, storyteller, and author of more than sixty books for children and adults who has received many literary honors, including the American Book Award and the PEN Syndicated Fiction Award. He is of Abenaki and Slovak heritage, and lives in Greenfield Center, New York. Nikki Grimes (nikkigrimes. com) received the Coretta Scott King Award for Bronx Masquerade , and has also received five Coretta Scott King Honors. She has written more than fifty books, including The Road to Paris , Jazmin's Notebook , the Dyamonde Daniel series, and the New York Times bestseller Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope . She lives in Corona, California.
