Abigail Groves is a first time children's author. Her love of writing first started when Abigail entered a writing competition at Chale, Isle of Wight Primary School with a poem called 'Go and open the door'. Winning first place, she received the opportunity to meet Jacqueline Wilson which cemented her love for a story. Abigail studied Sociology with Media Studies at the University of East London and now works in marketing in Oxfordshire. She has always wanted to write down her world onto paper for other children to enjoy. Her first experience with Abigail's world was through her own anxiety and worries about school, using her world as a safe place to escape to.
