Treasure House Handwriting is a whole-school programme designed to support children in developing a clear and fluent style of writing. Using precursive and cursive handwriting styles, the programme progresses from introducing the movements and patterns needed to form letters, through to the development of a personal style.
This workbook reinforces the handwriting style already learned, through sentences, spelling patterns and simple tongue-twisters and rhymes. During this book, children are encouraged to attempt writing with their eyes closed to help fix the pattern of movements in the mind.
Throughout this workbook, children are introduced to the idea of collating a handwriting folder, and also contains exemplar material to be retained by children in their handwriting folder.
