Eye Openers is a highly innovative series of photographic information books in the "Eyewitness style. Designed for very young children who are just beginning to cultivate an interest in things outside their home environment each book is filled with real-life close-up photographs featuring animals and objects. Children will love to look and talk about the different subjects featured in the series - from pets and zoo animals to trucks and ships and boats. The subjects are photographed against a white background to achieve a startlingly real almost three-dimensional effect. The clarity is such that children can imagine stroking the soft muzzle of a cow or touching the rough trunk of an elephant. Decorative artwork complements the photographs providing a wealth of additional information and entertainment to make each page a visual treasure-trove. These are books for a parent and child to enjoy together. All artwork details are clearly labelled to act as talking points and the large print text will encourage children to follow the words while a parent reads aloud.
