Claire Freedman lives on the Essex coast. She has worked for the BBC, Harrods and for a reprographic company, and now she writes full-time. Catherine Walters lives in Halifax with her husband and three children. She has written and illustrated a number of books for Little Tiger Press and is best known for her creation of Alfie Bear. Sheridan Cain lives in London with her husband. She is the author of a number of books for children, including Little Turtle And The Song Of The Sea with Little Tiger Press. Jack Tickle lives in Dorset with his wife and child. He is the illustrator of the vibrant, popular titles Yummy Yummy, Food For My Tummy!, The Very Lazy Ladybird and The Very Sleepy Sloth. David Bedford has been writing full-time for children for over five years. He lives with his wife and daughter in Norfolk. Peter Kavanagh has over fifty books to his name. He too lives with his wife and two children in Norfolk. Rory Tyger is the collective name for Richard Greaves, Tracey Simmons and Gabrielle Murphy. Their studio is a converted barn on a farm in Hertfordshire. In this idyllic setting they work on all kinds of projects, from greetings cards and children's books to advertising and product design. Colleen McKeown was born in Belfast but moved to England aged nineteen to study at the Liverpool School of Art. It was here she began illustrating for children, which led her to complete the Children's Book Illustration Masters at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. Little Friend is her second book.
