Benjamin Franklin, scientist and inventor, is hard at work on an exciting new invention. Bear has other things on his mind - like is rumbling tum! When Jeramiah's store is struck by lightning and burns to the ground, Franklin is determined to help. He works out that lightning is made of electricity, but how can he stop this terrible thing happening again and protect the townsfolk? When a great storm threatens the church, Franklin has the answer and produces his newest invention - the lightning rod. But will this device conduct the electricity away safely and save building before it's too late?
