Susan Price is the acclaimed author of many books for children of all ages. In 1987 she won the Carnegie Medal for her novel The Ghost Drum and in 1994 was shortlisted again for Heads and Tales (both Faber). Her work draws inspiration from her native Black Country, where she still lives. P. J. LYNCH was born in Belfast in 1962, the youngest of five children. He studied illustration at Brighton College of Art (where one of his tutors was Raymond Briggs). He has won numerous prizes, including the Mother Goose Award and the Kate Greenaway Award. He now lives in Dublin.
