A reading game at the end of each book encourages retelling the story and boosting vocabulary. This book is aimed at children in primary school. This book is at Book Band Green. Books banded Green will have more characters and different forms of text, such as non-fiction, rhymes, diagrams and verse. They introduce more compound words, some longer sentences and more punctuation. These books are usually 20 pages long with either 3 or 4 sentences per page. Pupil Targets: (i) talk about each of the characters, (ii) start to read fluently, and use full stops and commas, (iii) notice rhyming words, even if they are not familiar with them, (iv) read texts in unusual layouts, such as in speech bubbles and lists, (v) use a contents page and glossary in non-fiction books, (vi) think about the overall plot of the book and talk about how they fhink it will end. This book is part of a reading scheme, meaning that it is a book aimed at children who are learning to read.

MC Stevens is a martial arts instructor with 16 years' experience in karate, weapons, and jiu jitsu. A former English and History teacher at secondary school level, she also works for an international charity which empowers young girls in developing countries, using karate as a tool to develop confidence and self-determination. Steve Brown is inspired by animations of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s which comes through in the energy and characterisation of his style. WARRIOR MONKEYS is his dream project as he has practised martial arts since the age of 8. Damian Harvey has worked as a hospital radio presenter, painter-decorator, and swimming instructor, as well as writing several books for children. He lives in Blackpool, Lancashire.
