Celia Soper is a descendant of the first French colonists in Louisiana and has been fascinated with Cajun folk tales since she heard them as a little girl. She was therefore excited to keep those stories alive by publishing them in a children's book. She and her husband, Patrick, reside in Lafayette, Louisianadeep in the heart of Cajun countrywhere they currently co-own and operate Soper Studio. Mrs. Soper is an active member of the Lafayette Public Library Foundation Board.
