Great for age 3-6 years
This title features short stories featuring Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Big Bad Wolf, Scamp and other Disney characters. It's Earth Day in Duckburg, and Donald's cleaning up the city in William Van Horn's "Taking Things Litterly." Mickey Mouse and Eega Beeva explore "Pflip's Strange Power" in a 1948 classic by Bill Walsh and Floyd Gottfredson. From KFS 12/27/48-3/5/49 Li'l Bad Wolf plays "Musical Eggs" in an Easter-themed story by the famous Dutch team of Wilbert Plijnaar and Dick Matena. Donald's nephews are "Straight Shooters" in a short gag story by Duck master Al Taliaferro. From WDCS numbered 76, January 1947, Goofy in "Esteem For a Day" by Sarah Kinney when a world of Goofylike alien beings asks him to be their Great Reasoner...an exalted judge who must solve the entire planet's problems! Scamp tries "Making Like a Mole" by moving bones through underground tunnels. This classic Lady and the Tramp-world adventure features the art of Al Hubbard. From WDCS numbered 224, May 1959. Finally, in Per Erik Hedman's "Gadabout Gadget (Formula One, Part 2)" Donald's and Scrooge's Formula One racing adventures continue. Donald loses a super racecar part in the jungles of Brazil, and must trek into danger to recover it!

William Van Horn has been a Disney comics artist and writer since 1988. He draws mostly Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge, and he has also written and/or illustrated stories based on the animated series DuckTales . Sarah Kinney has written several Nancy Drew comics for Papercutz and for Disney Comics. Born in 1968, Danish artist Flemming Andersen is probably best known for drawing Disney comics published in Europe--particularly Scandinavia and Germany--starring Donald Duck and related characters like Uncle Scrooge, Daisy, and Mickey Mouse. His style is inspired by the likes of Carl Barks, Daniel Branca, and Giorgio Cavazzano Carl Barks (1901-2000) spent most of his life in Oregon. One of the most brilliant cartoonists of the 20th century, Barks has entertained millions around the world with his timeless tales of Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge. In 1987, he was one of the three inaugural inductees in the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame (along with Eisner and Jack Kirby). Giorgio Cavazzano is an Italian artist that started his career at the age of 14 inking for Romano Scarpa producing stories for Disney with the characters Micke Mouse, Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck, and others. He is known for combining the traditional appearance of Disney characters with realistic illustrations of technological gadgets and machinery.
