ANNE ROONEY gained a degree and then a PhD in medieval literature from Trinity College, Cambridge. After a period of teaching medieval English and French literature at the universities of Cambridge and York, she left to pursue a career as a freelance writer. She has written many books for adults and children on a variety of subjects, including literature and history. She lives in Cambridge and is Royal Literary Fund Fellow at the University of Essex. Based in the North West of England, TOM MCGRATH is an illustrator and visual designer. He graduated from illustration at the University of Central Lancashire in 2012. Tom's work is inspired by artwork he has seen, books he has read and the films he has watched. In Robert Louis Stevensons novella Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Henry Jekyll struggles with evil urges and so creates a potion in an attempt to mask the hidden evil within himself. Once taken, the potion unleashes Jekylls inner demon and he becomes the cruel and remorseless Hyde. And as time goes on Hydes strength grows so strong that Jekyll is unable to control it. And all ends tragically.
